LEGO® City 60246 – Police Station

Police Stations appeared many times the City series last years. As our interest in Lego bricks from this series appeared basically with the appearance of our son, we did not have the previous sets and although we know that the one we are describing today is not the best of them, it gave us a lot of fun when building it and playing.

It is a large set consisting of many interesting sections. The whole thing is connected, but it is not very stable and you have to remember about it while playing. It’s really easy to fold, because most of the bricks are just big. Does it look nice? It is debatable, because it does not look nice on its own, but when placed with other buildings in the city, its appearance makes sense.

After assembling, we get a long row of buildings without any special ornaments. We have a prison building with the possibility of its easy destruction, so that some spectacular escape could take place. Next is a mini garage for a nice police motorcycle. The main three-storey office building of the police station and at the end the exit gate with a really glowing finder lamp and a landing pad for a police drone. There is also a barrier which is fun and playable.

In addition, two noteworthy cars – one police car for transporting criminals, the other is the car of the criminals themselves, who, according to the history of this set, are to take their friend back. As the story takes place here, we also have a lot of minifigures referring to the TV series – and so are the criminal Daisy Kaboom, Lieutenant Duke DeTain and Police Chief Wheeler with his skateboard. Plus a few thieves and policemen. A total of 7 minifigures and two interesting dogs (especially the English Bulldog). An interesting fact is the ping-pong table on one of the floors of the office building.

A lot is happening and the set is mainly suitable for fun. Worse with its appearance and functionality. There are also no very interesting details. And at the same time, it is expensive in relation to the simplicity of construction. But of course, like all Lego sets we bought, it’s better to have it than not to have …
