In 2007, Lego® launched the Creator Expert Modular Buildings, which became a treat for adult fans of the brand. In 2012, it was decided to present the 10230 set which was a reduced version of 5 large sets and was sold in the VIP program. We never got to the next version with the next smaller buildings of the Modular series. Instead, Lego® introduced sets from the Creator 3 in 1 series with tasteful buildings that could also be arranged in a series. The biggest of them is 2019’s Townhouse Pet Shop and Café.
All buildings in the series are first and foremost very nice with lots of detail . They look beautiful on the shelf. First of all, they are also very profitable to buy – their value is not overestimated, which is unfortunately the norm these days when it comes to Lego®.
We get a set consisting of as many as 969 blocks, which in the basic version of the assembly (which we present to you today) allows you to arrange two L-shaped buildings with a green square between them. The pet shop is 3 floors with interesting sliding blinds on the windows on the upper floors and a photovoltaic installation on the roof. The cafe has two floors with tasteful decorations on the open roof. The inside is also open with visible details. And so on the ground floor we have a section with the title shops. Unfortunately, their details cannot be assessed positively – in the café there is practically nothing but a cash register and a table, and in the pet shop there is an aquarium and a parrot … Above it is better – the whole apartment with a kitchen, living room and bedroom upstairs.
We only get 3 minifigures, but I rate it as a good move, because this set is not based on playing with the elements, but on how nice it looks.
We had no problems with folding it and the assembly itself gave us and our 5-year-old son a lot of fun.
This set is rated very highly by fans and our rating couldn’t be low either. We highly recommend it.
