If you have a child at home who is fixated on electronics and modern technologies, then today’s hero of the entry will be the best toy in the world for him. Period. That would be the end of the review, but of course we will write more. What’s more, today’s entry will not be the only description of the Lego ® Boost 17101 creative kit. In the near future we will describe other characters that can be created using blocks from this set. In Lego ® ready-made, we have five possibilities to create interactive toys.
The first is the obvious choice, which is Vernie – an interactive robot that will teach your preschooler the basics of coding using hints and tutorials for this purpose. Just building this neat robot did not cause us problems, even though our little boy was only 5 years old at the time. Of course, there were some problematic moments where we helped him. Build robot gives a lot of fun and laughter. For such small children, it is primarily recording their own sounds and playing them as part of the program, or other sound games. As our child’s skills increase, we can begin to teach him the basics of coding and performing specific missions using the included accessories, i.e. a ready-made mat or built from blocks (for example, a shooting target, a ball or a golf club). We program Vernie in a dedicated application and perform missions to go to the next level.
At first, we thought to buy new sets to build more models so nice and interesting looks Vernie himself, that we were sorry to undress him. But the time came (maybe temporary) boredom and our son decided to take it apart to create a new model. Surprisingly, it took a while and already in the dishes lay nicely coloured grouped blocks to create a model of the production line. We watched with curiosity as the young man created new modules of this machine, and when the whole thing finally stood on the table, we were surprised to see how, after programming the machine, she began to create miniature robots.
