LEGO® Batman Movie 70912 – Arkham Asylum

Today we will present you one of the pearls in our collection. It is the Argham Asylum from the Lego® Batman movie, i.e. the 70912 set from 2017. For its assembly, the Lego® company gave us 1628 bricks. We will build 4 buildings of the title Argham Asylum, 3 of which we will combine to form the main building with two side wings. A tall watchtower is being built separately. From the front side it looks consistent, but in fact most is happening inside of the building. But more on that in a moment.

Argham Asylum is a mental hospital based on one of the coolest scenes from the Lego® Batman movie. Lego® has already released a set of 10937 in which this building was also presented, but it seems that today’s hero of the entry is more interesting. When we look at the body of the building, only after a while we see how many small details are contained in it. For me personally, this is a bit like the Shawshank prison.

Let’s look at how many details we can find on the back. Both side wings contain other rooms. There is a room with a phone, there is a dining room with tableware. A laundry room with two washing machines looks great. Above it is the doctor’s room with a computer, drugs and a freezer. Of course, electronically locked cells for inmates with funny graphics from stickers. The only thing that could be faulted is the limited space for minifigures.

The mobile X-ray scanner is very cool, which can be used to x-ray the minifigure. For this, such as an outdoor gym, a basketball basket or, finally, the only vehicle in the described set, styled for the 1960s, a police vehicle with opening doors and a trunk. The number of minifigures is as much as 13 (one is a statue) and there are many characters from the movie with the title Batman and Robin.

We recommend this set, although we know that now you have to give collector prices for it. The level of fun it provides, however, seems to be adequate. May our favorite company give us more of such sets in the future.
