LEGO® City 60292 – Town Center

Today we present to you a set from the current year, which is probably for many of you it will be a valuable entry. As we know, this year the concept of the city has changed by introducing road plates made of blocks. We do not have modulars from the Creator Expert series, extensive MOCs, etc., so the incompatibility of new road boards is not that bad for us. We like the look of the new concept and we are developing to complete a new city.

And there’s actually a lot going on here. We have as many as 9 minifigures, including the characters from the TV show – the young Madison and Shirley Keeper. In addition a mom with a baby in the carrier, a blind person with a guide dog. The action can take place in the pizzeria where the fire broke out (takeaway pizza boxes), so we see a pizzerman and a firefighter. We have an electric car with room for one driver (who is an older gentleman). There is also a burglar and therefore a policeman on a bike (which is all going with the times and thinking eco). It is still ecological to sort waste with paper and glass containers. There is also included a car for recycle bin pick-up with a simple design arm. Vehicles are very simple, but they have their charm.

There are two buildings and I have to admit that they are very stable – as we pointed out in similar sets from previous years. We have a pretty cool car wash here that can handle a lot of cars from our collection because it’s really big. The second building is a pizzeria with a stove and above it is a Japanese hall for traditional fights. Madison uses it because she’s dressed in a kimono. There is a tiny garden on the roof of the building. Pretty cool are also a tiny square with a toy for a child and a charging station for electric vehicles.

How do we assess all this? The set seems to be perfectly tailored for the 6-year-old, he himself built it from 790 blocks and creates adventures in it by himself. It is a simple set, but full of charm. We recommend – especially as it will become a little cheaper…
