LEGO® City 60215 – Fire Station

In 2019, a large part of the Lego catalog in the City chapter was occupied by firefighter sets. One of the obligatory sets on this theme was definitely a set with a fire station. How do we feel when playing with this set? Well – mixed …

On the one hand, it contains the eponymous firehouse building which is tasteful with lots of clear glazing which is nice. But on the other hand, if you look closely, you won’t find many details in it and I have to admit – it’s not very stable and a few times while playing it just fell apart and you had to go back to the instructions to fix it. And that’s a bit annoying.

Small additional elements – such as a four-rotor drone or a fire-fighting jet ski are very weak and probably added to this set by force.

But as I wrote, apart from these disadvantages, we like the set very much – the building has as many as 3 floors, the garage for the SUV has a great gate that opens upwards and nice glazing. The off-roader itself, of course, has the option to turn on the siren and light signals advertised on the box. Perfectly sized for the garage. The building itself can be nicely integrated into the city system, because it also has a dock and can be located by the water.

In total, we only have 509 elements in the set, but you have to remember that some bricks are really big, so we will have a relatively medium-sized building. Comparing it to fire stations from previous years, it is smaller and less detailed, but also cheaper.

There are 4 minifigures and they are quite interesting. We have a firefighter boss with a golden helmet !, a female firefighter who controls a drone, a firefighter with a crowbar, and the last firefighter on a water jet ski. And there is also a dog on duty as well.

This set looks nice and you can have fun with it, but you have to remember not to make sudden movements… A must-have kit if you have any other fire trucks in your city and if you don’t have previous fire stations from 2016 and 2013, which were bigger and more interesting.
