The set described today is from 2019. It was a very good year for the City series – this year comes a great Ski Resort or NASA sub-series. And today’s set maintains this high level. Let’s look at what we get from 790 bricks here.
The set, of course, refers to the TV series and that’s why we see a lot of famous characters here. We have as many as 10 minifigures, including famous stars such as Duke Detain or the reporter Gabby ToCamera. All figures have a role to play because a set has a great playability potential. We have two buildings – a toy store and the candy café. A huge donut is going to be mounted on this building. We will use a really solid truck with a crane for this. It has an extendable arm lifts and supports. This truck is the highlight of this set in my opinion. There are two more cars – a TV van and a small taxi. In addition, a coffee rickshaw (which is really interesting in details) and a standard motorcycle for a policeman.
A lot of fun is to be able to drop this huge donut from the roof of the store. It may fall and roll down the streets of the city. Everything can be covered by the TV crew from the TV News car – the car, which opens at the rear, has monitors for material assembly inside.
The donut shop opening set is highly recommended primarily due to the variety of elements and the overall playability that can be obtained after arranging it. Unfortunately, it is slowly leaving the market, so its prices are no longer low, but if you spread the number of structures possible, the purchase is still profitable – of course, in the reality of the City series, which is not cheap.
