Year 2019 brought us two huge sets created by Lego® in cooperation with NASA. One (60228) we have already described and now we will look at the larger one, which includes a large rocket, a ramp and, above all, a huge vehicle for transporting this rocket.
A lot is happening here and the multitude of structures will give us a lot of fun when building, but most of all when playing with elements. The whole stylistically refers to the other sets of the expedition to Mars series and by combining the buildings from the 60228 set with those from the currently described set, you can create a really interesting space center.
We get a large rocket in this set, which can be divided into several parts. We have a cockpit with space for two minifigures and a cargo hold. The set also includes a flight center room. Another impressive structure is a ramp with a rocket-mounted crane with a winch. Rover lab features a rotating arm, opening door and a lifting platform.
A large caterpillar transporter with a movable launcher is great for play – for me it is a relish of this set. In addition, we have a truck with a flat platform and an articulated gripper, and a rover with an extendable gripper and drill. We have as many as seven minifigures plus a robot figure. These are lab workers, ground crew and two astronauts.
Although the price is not low, the number of bricks (1055), the multitude of structures and possibilities of fun make it worth buying this set, especially if we have a space enthusiast at home.
