LEGO® City 60167 – Coast Guard Head Quarters

The set is called Coast Guard Quarters, but it’s not the title building that is the best part of the set. The absolute highlight of this set is the huge coast guard boat with lots of play elements and very detailed in detail. First things first…

This set comes from 2017 and was the largest set of the marine series of the catalog at that time. It contains 792 elements and makes a definitely surprising live impression, because in the photos from the catalog or the photo from the box there is no reference to what we will find inside and what we will build from it.

Very nice in color and detail, it can be liked and even presented for collectors (especially a coast guard corvette).

We have two boats here – one civilian, although it is not sophisticated and difficult to assemble, it gives the impression of being really solid. The second is a large coast guard boat with an opening captain’s bridge, a lowered Zodiak pontoon carriage and a glass lifted section that hides the medical section of the ship. There is a lamp in the bow of the ship which unfortunately is not lit. There are details like the chains on the sides of the ship or the lifebuoys that make this ship the most beautiful one in our collection.

The rest of the set also makes a good impression – there is a helicopter which of course has floats for landing at sea, a signal buoy and the coast guard building itself with a solid helipad. It all looks great as a whole. We have 7 minifigures – most are coast guard officers and one civilian who, according to the stories in this set, has problems with the boat (and the shark).

The set is definitely recommended – it can still be found in the internet offers and we advise you to hurry up because it can only become a collector soon.
